Cassidy Orban tied the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) single-game record for draw controls with 14 as the Monmouth University women's lacrosse team fell to Drexel University, 19-14 in the season finale on Saturday afternoon.Â

Orban added a goal to go with her draw controls while
Mya Brock had a career-high six goals in the game for the Hawks.
Ella Spears added three goals and two assists for Monmouth. Corinne Bednarik contributed six goals and two assists to lead Drexel.Â

Bednarik scored four goals in the first 15 minutes as Drexel took a 6-5 lead after the first period. Monmouth scored three of the first four goals in the second period and took an 8-7 lead. The Hawks and Dragons traded goals over the next several minutes. Orban won a draw control with 27 seconds left and scored as Monmouth took an 11-10 lead at the break.Â

Drexel scored the first six goals of the third period and took a 16-11 advantage in the game. Brock's fifth of the day made it 16-12 with 15 minutes to play. The two teams traded goals in the fourth quarter as Drexel secured the 19-14 win.

-Â Monmouth had a season-high 24 draw controls in the game. In addition to Orban's 14 draws, the Hawks got a career-high eight from
Brianna Falco.
- The Hawks had five free-position goals in the game, it is tied for the second most by the Hawks in a game this season.
- Orban's 14 draw controls ties the CAA record set by Towson's Natalie Sulmonte in 2018 and tied last year by Drexel's Maura Cissel. Â
