WILLIAMSBURG, VA – The Monmouth University men's tennis team won its first CAA tournament match on Thursday afternoon with a 4-2 victory over No. 10 seed Hampton in the opening round of the CAA tournament at William and Mary.
The Hawks secured the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2.
Dmitry Bezborodov and
Niels Van Noord won 6-3, while
Gabriel Busato and
Victor Castro earned a 6-4 victory, extending their winning streak to 10.
Dmitry Bezborodov (No. 2),
Victor Castro (No. 3), and
Christof Zeiler (No. 6) all won their respective singles matches to propel the Hawks to victory.
