WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University men's tennis team earned a decisive 4-0 victory over NJIT on Sunday afternoon at the Outdoor Tennis Complex.
Monmouth claimed the doubles point with two out of three wins, including
Victor Castro and
Gabriel Busato remaining unbeaten this season with a 10-0 record. The Hawks won at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles in straight sets to secure the win.
Niels Van Noord won 6-2, 6-4,
Dmitry Bezborodov won his fifth singles match in a row, 7-5, 6-2, at No. 2 and
Victor Castro's win at No. 3 (6-1, 6-3) extended his singles winning streak to nine.
