NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – The Monmouth University women's tennis team suffered a tough 6-1 setback to Seton Hall in its first match of the spring season on Saturday night.
Lana Brezanin got the Hawks on the scoreboard with a hard-fought win at number four singles. Brezanin battled for a 6-4, 7-5 win over Emily O'Donovan of the Pirates to pick up her fourth win of the season.
Hana McKinney left it all on the court as she took Aina Plana Ventosa to a third set tiebreaker before falling. Plana Ventosa took the first set, 6-3 before McKinney battled back for a 6-2 win in the second set. Plana Ventosa eventually claimed the match with a 7-6 (6) win in the third set.
