LITTLE SILVER, NJ – The Monmouth University men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision against visiting Temple on Saturday afternoon at Little Silver Tennis Club.
The Hawks won at No. 2 doubles after
Charlie Penman and
Christof Zeiler earned a 6-4 win, but were unable to secure the point as Temple earned a pair of tight victories at No. 1 and No. 3. Andrew Zuckerman won Monmouth's lone singles match at No. 6, by winning 6-2, 6-3.
Monmouth dropped to 2-1 on the season after suffering its first defeat of the year.
