WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University men's lacrosse team manufactured a six-goal halftime lead and held off a NJIT push in an eventual 14-9 victory on Tuesday afternoon at Kessler Stadium.
Cade Stratton led Monmouth's offensive charge with four goals and was one of six Hawks to register multi-point performances in the win. Monmouth's defense forced 23 turnovers and limited to NJIT just two goals in the first half and nine total to solidify the victory.

Connor Macrae recorded his eighth career hat trick and became the 11
th Hawk in program history to score 40 career goals.
