MU DROPS ROAD CONTEST AT TOWSON SATURDAY, 68-48

TOWSON, MD – Monmouth University Men's Basketball was defeated in a CAA road matchup Saturday at SECU Arena by Towson University, 68-48. Myles Foster led the Hawks with 14 points, his sixth straight game in double figures.

Monmouth trimmed the Towson second-half lead to 11 multiple times, and were within 13 when Andrew Ball threw down his second straight dunk off a baseline lob. MU got a three-point play from Tahron Allen and a Jack Holmstrom triple in the second half, ultimately falling 68-48.

Monmouth cut it to four on a Foster finish at 14:41 before Towson went on a 7-0 run to lead by 11. Another Tigers run had them leading by 18, but the Hawks battled back, converting another Foster bucket ahead of back-to-back triples from Collins to trim it to 10. MU also scored six of the final nine points of the period to go to the locker room down just 13.
