COLTS NECK, NJ – Monmouth University Men's Golf won five of the seven matches in taking a 5-2 match play victory over Wagner College on Wednesday at Trump National Golf Club. The MU victories included triumphs from two freshmen making their collegiate debuts.
 
Monmouth went five-up in two matches, including a victory by freshman Ethan Lee and another from sophomore 
Colin McCullagh. Two more Hawks won by going four-up, with freshman 
Alex Dalmau joining senior 
Matt McCormick in their wins. MU's fifth victory came one-up courtesy of 
Travis Dix, while 
Colt Ingram and 
Erik Stevens dropped their matches.
 
NOTES AND RESULTS
 
-Ethan Lee and 
Alex Dalmau competed in their first career event for the Blue and White, and both won their matches.
-This marks MU's first tournament victory since the 2018 Hawk Invitational at Deal on October 23, 2018.
-All seven Hawks on the roster competed in the tournament.
