WASHINGTON – The Monmouth University men's soccer team posted its second straight shutout on Tuesday night, earning a 2-0 decision over Howard University on the road in the nation's capital.

The Hawks got on the board first in the 12
th minute. Following a Howard yellow card,
Luke McBeth converted on a penalty kick opportunity to give Monmouth the early 1-0 advantage. The score remained stagnant until the 84
th minute when freshman
Kristian Loenvig found the back of the net for the first time in his career off an assist from
Jonas Lyshoj.

Reigning CAA Rookie of the Week
Eryk Dymora posted his second consecutive clean sheet in goal for the Hawks, making three saves which all came in the first half.
