LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL – Monmouth University Men's Golf placed fifth in the 2022 MAAC Championships this weekend, with senior Brendan Smith earning All-MAAC honors after posting a top-10 finish.
 
MU posted all three rounds inside of 300, led by Smith who placed seventh in the field. Smith's middle round one-under par 71 was the Hawks best round of the weekend, with Smith inside of 75 in all three rounds. Sophomore Travis Dix concluded a strong spring with two 73's in the final two rounds, finishing just outside the top-10 at T11. Erik Stevens closed strong with a one-over par 73 in finishing T20, while Ron Robinson was one stroke back of that in 23^rd. Colin McCullagh competed in his first conference championship, finishing 33^rd.
 
Monmouth shot 890 as a team, 10 shots back of Iona and Fairfield, who tied for third. Rider won the 2022 title, six shots clear of second-place Siena.
