WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth graduate guard George Papas added to his list of postseason accolades Monday, earning a spot on the Met Basketball Writers Association Third Team.
 
Papas adds this to All-MAAC First Team and All-NABC Second Team as his postseason awards. Papas concluded his career with 1,150 points, 15^th in program history, and 227 threes, fifth in school history. His 103 triples this season marked a program record for a single year, and he became the first Hawk to ever make over 100 threes in a season. A 2021 All-MAAC Second Teamer before elevating to First Team this season, Papas led Monmouth in scoring at 14.9 points per game, assists with 101, and steals with 47.
 
Papas is the fourth Hawk to earn All-MET in program history and the sixth honoree, joining Justin Robinson (2x), Micah Seaborn, and Deion Hammond (2x).
