OCEAN VIEW, NJ – Monmouth University Men's Golf continued its spring schedule this past weekend, competing in the South Jersey Spring Kickoff at Shore Gate Golf Club in Ocean View, NJ. MU finished third and just one shot out of second, while Erik Stevens placed fifth in the field individually.
 
MU finished one shot behind Iona across the two days, carding rounds of 310 and 305. LaSalle, the tournament winner, ranked seven shots above MU. Monmouth topped two conference foes in Saint Peter's and Manhattan as well as a future conference opponent in Hofstra.
 
Stevens led Monmouth with his fifth-place finish, shooting a round low 74 on Sunday. Ron Robinson was eighth in the field, while Travis Dix placed ninth and Colin McCullagh was 11^th. Brendan Smith posted a final round 78 to claim 18^th, while Colt Ingram and Matt McCormick also competed for the Hawks.
