NEWARK, NJ – The Monmouth University men's lacrosse team built a 6-0 lead to open the game and cruised to a 15-7 victory over NJIT on Friday night at Lubetkin Field.
Connor Macrae scored five goals and handed out three assists to set the Monmouth single-game program record with eight total points. In total, seven different Hawks had at least two points in the win, with five multi-goal scorers.
In goal,
Noah Lode held NJIT to six goals and racked up 13 saves to lead one of Monmouth's best defensive efforts of the year.

- Macrae broke the record previously held by Bryce Wasserman, who had three seven-point performances in his career.
- Macrae scored his fifth career hat trick and his 13th goal in his last three games. He leads the team with 14 goals this season and has 28 for his career.
