A 9-0 Rider run early in the second half extended the Broncs lead to 15, and MU battled to the finish line but the Broncs held MU off, with the home team putting three in double figures.

Monmouth opened strong, scoring the first eight points on two
Jack Collins bucket and a
Myles Ruth three to take an 8-0 lead. After Rider took the lead and held it, MU got within 30-27 after a Ruth basket and later a foul shot at 1:56. The Broncs used a 7-0 quick push to end the period to lead by 10 at the break, 37-27.
