SIMSBURY, CT – Monmouth University Men's Golf opened the 2021-22 season at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate Tournament this past weekend.
Ron Robinson and
Erik Stevens led the Hawks, with Robinson posting the team's low round of the weekend with a Sunday 73.
Robinson shot a one-over 73 on Sunday after firing an even-par 36 on the front nine to follow a Saturday 76.
Erik Stevens and
Travis Dix both shot 74 on Sunday, with Dix posting a pair of one-over nines and Stevens carding two birdies on the back to shoot an even-par 36.
Brendan Smith shot 76-75 on the weekend, while
Matt McCormick improved by three shots Sunday to post 76. Smith's opening nine featured three birdies in the final four holes to post MU's best nine of the weekend, a three-under par 33.
