HEART OF A CHAMPION

Caught in the wake of Coach Callahan’s Powerade-bath, Captain Tymere Berry roisters in the excitement of taking the outright Big South title. Berry was a critical defender for the hawks, propelling Monmouth Football to the FCS playoffs in his senior year. His heart for football, and the success of his team, feels evident in this moment of celebration.

JOSEPHINE VAN DER HOOP

FALL FOCUS

Josephine van der Hoop hones in on her opponent as the Autumn wind blows loose hairs around her face. Starting all 19 games at midfield, van der Hoop lead her team to many victories all season. Her efforts undoubtedly pushed Monmouth field hockey to be ranked 25th in the nation for the first time in program history.

Noah Lode has some of the most intense game-day focus of any Monmouth athlete I’ve photographed. Here, Lode makes one of his 13 saves against Saint Joseph’s University in late February.

Ray Salnave and Deion Hammond

BUZZER BEATER

Ray Salnave celebrates with Deion Hammond after their 67-66 win over Princeton. Salnave sank the winning three-pointer at the buzzer, sending the Monmouth bench into a frenzy. Many of the Monmouth players have their own unique handshakes that debut during pre-game, but athletes actually celebrating with their handshake-routine is always a pure moment.

ICING ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP CAKE

Jill Conklin scores Monmouth’s fourth and final goal against Rider, securing women's soccer's seventh consecutive Regular Season Championship as a member of the MAAC. Rider’s goalie sits in defeat on the turf as Conklin turns to celebrate with her teammates.
