What is your connection to Monmouth University?
My late brother Raymond was a statistician for the football team, as well as a DJ and sports commentator for WMCX. He graduated in 2000 with a bachelor of arts degree in communication. Our family foundation has been active at MU, along with providing a communications scholarship established in Raymond's honor. My father has served as a trustee for several years. I served terms on the Blue/White Leadership Council as VP and President.
What is your occupation?
-Director of Operations and Research for Michelli Associates, Inc.
-Founder/Director of
ItaliaLiving.com.
How and when did you get involved with the Blue/White Club?
I believe around 2008 is when I joined the B/W Club at the Varsity level.
Why do you support Monmouth Athletics?
The close connection my family has to the University. The enjoy of attending competitive and exciting games right here in our community. Seeing the successes of the student athletes and the impact MU coaches have on them.
What do you love about Monmouth Athletics?
Seeing the high level of competitiveness and dedication by our student athletes on and off the field and courts. The friendships created by the outstanding people that make up the athletics department staff and coaches. Also, the first class atmosphere of the facilities to enjoy game time.
What is your favorite Monmouth Athletics memory?
In 2013 when my son, my father, and myself flew out with the football team to Bozeman to play the Montana State Bobcats. Was our first time to Montana and the whole experience over a couple days was very memorable.
What is your favorite sport?
Basketball, football, and lacrosse. Watching any MU athletes perform on our first class courts, fields, beautiful buildings and atmosphere...along with our outstanding athletic commentators/announcers-- make for a really enjoyable college athletics experience that more locals need to come and take advantage of.
If you could give a current student athlete one piece of advice, what would it be?
Listen to your coaches at MU. They sincerely care about your well-being and what's best for you long term...beyond your days of college athletics.
If you could travel anywhere in the world next week where would you go?
My home away from home vacation spot... Disney World!
What is your favorite food in the Varsity Club?
The brunch/breakfast is very good...any time of day works for me. Also great when outside restaurant establishments bring their food. A good opportunity for visibility of the local businesses as well.
