LITTLE SILVER, NJ – In a number of close matches, the Monmouth University men's tennis team fell to Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday night, 5-2.
 
The Hawks won the doubles point after wins from junior Charles Gortzounian and senior Sergio Martinez at No. 1, 7-6, and junior Will Cooke Wharton and freshman Gabriel Busato at No. 2, 6-2.
 
Martinez won the lone singles match for Monmouth at No. 5, 6-1, 6-1.
 
The Hawks drop to 4-3 on the season, and will host Delaware on Saturday.
