DADE CITY, FL - Monmouth University Men's Golf opened the 2020 spring campaign this week, competing in the 54-hole Saint Leo Invitational.
Ron Robinson (Hatfield, PA/North Penn) led the Hawks with a T15 finish, including an even-par 72 in the middle round. MU placed ninth in the 12-team field.
Robinson's three-round score of 221 represents a career low for a 54-hole tournament for the junior. He was MU's best by three shots ahead of
Brendan Smith (Sayville, NY/Sayville), who also shot even par in the second round.
Andy Stock (Danbury, CT/Danbury) posted an even par opening round, while
Erik Stevens (Annandale, NJ/North Hunterdon) and
Jimmy Criscione (Paramus, NJ/Bergen Catholic) each shot better as the rounds progressed throughout the week.
