NEW BRITAIN, CT- Monmouth University's women's lacrosse (3-0) team cruised to a 18-4 victory over Central Connecticut State (0-4) on Sunday afternoon to remain unbeaten in 2020.

Monmouth had 10 different players score goals while the defense allowed its lowest output since last season against the blue Devils, including giving up just one goal in the second half. Junior
Caroline Bleck (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) finished with seven points while senior
Allison Turturro (Sound Beach, NY/Miller Place) netted two goals – including her 100
th career goal. Stephanie Dellituri (Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central) had eight saves in net for the Hawks.

The Hawks opened up a 6-1 lead before CCSU stopped the run with 18:22 to play in the first. Monmouth came right back and scored four unanswered to push its lead to 10-2, eventually taking a 10-3 lead into the break. The final thirty minutes was all Hawks, outscoring the Blue Devils 8-1 in game that saw 26 Monmouth players see game action. Bleck led all scorers with five goals while
Rachel Mills had three and Turturro and
Chloe Novak (Landsdale, PA/North Penn) each had two.
