OLEAN, NY – The Monmouth University men's lacrosse team erased a 3-0 deficit after the first quarter, but responded to score seven of the final nine goals in a 7-5 victory over St. Bonaventure on Tuesday afternoon at Marra Athletics Complex.
After the Bonnies scored the game's first three goals, Monmouth controlled the second quarter. The Hawks took a 4-3 lead into intermission following
David Cormack's goal right before time expired in the period.
Monmouth pushed the lead to 5-3 early in the third when
Griffin Figel scooped up a long toss from midfield and beat the St. Bonaventure goalie. The Hawks' run ended with a Bonnies goal with five minutes left in the third, but Monmouth maintained the 5-4 lead and took the one-goal advantage into the fourth quarter.
Figel completed his hat trick with a man-up goal and then
Max Brooks made it 7-4 with five minutes to go in regulation to help the Hawks secure the win.

- Klurman scored his second goal of the year, Cormack put in his first-career goal and Brooks got his fourth of the season and sixth career goal.
- Kimmel's score was a man-up tally and his seventh of the year and 18
th career goal. It was his first man-up goal of 2019 and the fourth of his career. Five of his seven goals on the season have come against MAAC opponents.

Gordon Phillips had two assists in the game. Phillips has four assists this year and 20 for his career.
- Phillips had four ground balls, giving him 99 for his career.
