WEST ORANGE, NJ – Monmouth University Men's Golf wrapped up its fall slate with a rain-shortened 18-hole event at the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Championship Monday. The Hawks ranked 13
th in the 16-team field, and were led by freshman Matt McCormick's four-over par 74.
MU carded a 308 in the 18-hole tournament, finishing in 13
th. McCormick led the way in a tournament for the first time in his career, while
Brendan Smith (Sayville, NY/Sayville) shot 76, second best on the Hawks.
Ron Robinson (Hatfield, PA/North Penn) posted a 79, the same score as
Andy Stock (Danbury, CT/Danbury).
Erik Stevens (Annandale, NJ/North Hunterdon) was a shot back of them, finishing with an 80.
