WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University women's tennis team won its second straight match on Tuesday afternoon, defeating St. Francis Brooklyn by a score of 4-3. Sophomore Nicole Gasser (Middletown, NJ/Middletown North) clinched the win at No. 2 singles in three sets, eventually winning 4-6, 6-2, 10-8. Junior Chinonye Gabriel (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) won at both No. 5 singles and No. 2 doubles. The combo of Gasser and junior Sophia Fredriksson (Lidingo, Sweden/Hersby Gymnasium) pulled out a 7-5 win at No. 1 doubles to earn the point. Freshman Emily Manzo (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Township) also earned the first win of her collegiate career at No. 4 singles.
