SCOUTING THE GRIFFS
All-MAAC guards Takal Molson and Isaiah Reese lead Canisius with both scoring in double figures, while Reese is tops on the team with 6.1 rebounds per game. The Griffs won two road games in Connecticut last week to snap a three-game losing streak.

SERIES NOTES
-MU and Canisius have played 11 times overall, all of them coming since Monmouth joined the MAAC.
-Canisius swept the series last season for the first time ever.
-MU leads the all-time series 7-4, with two wins coming in Buffalo and one at the 2015 MAAC Tournament.

SALNAVE HITS THE GAME WINNER
Ray Salnave hit his second game-winner of the season against Iona, going the length of the floor to score with 1.1 seconds remaining on a bank shot from the left side of the lane. He previously netted his first game-winner at Penn on New Year's Eve, scoring with 2.3 seconds to go to secure Monmouth's first win of the year.

BIG SAM'S BIG AFTERNOON
Sam Ibiezugbe made the most of his opportunity in the win over Iona, going 4-4 from the field with a trio of jump shots to finish with a career-best 12 points. He also tied a career mark in field goals made, and set a career high with four free throws made. Ibiezugbe also grabbed four rebounds for MU in the W.

THE BUFFALO TRIP
Monmouth is making its sixth swing through Western New York as a member of the MAAC, previously going 6-4 in those games. The Blue and White have swept the trip twice, coming in the 2016-17 season as well as in 2014-15. MU was swept for the first time last season, and split in 2015-16 and 2013-14, both times beating Niagara and falling at Canisius. This is the latest time in the schedule that the Hawks have made the Western NY trip.

WINNING STREAK
Monmouth has won four in a row for the first time this season, and for the first time since the end of the 2016-17 season when the Hawks topped a program high with a 17 game winning streak.
