SEABORN DROPS 30
Micah Seaborn hit his first four shots and six of his first seven en route to 21 first-half points, the most in a half for a Hawk this season, before finishing with 30, the highest output from an MU player this season. He was the first Hawk to hit six triples in a game, and tied his own season-high with 10 field goals made, also accomplishing it at UConn. Seaborn topped his career high late in the second half with a stepback edge triple, and completed the 30-point night with a finger roll on the fast break.
THANK YOU SENIORS
Seniors
Austin Tilghman and Dan Pillari as well as fifth year senior
Zac Tillman were honored for their time in a Hawks uniform prior to the Rider game, with Pillari earning his first career start on the night.. The group has combined to win a pair of MAAC regular season titles and have appeared in 315 games between them, totaling 1,529 points.
THE WINNINGEST CLASS
Seniors
Austin Tilghman and Dan Pillari tied last year's senior class with their 84th career win against Rider, and are one win away from becoming the most winning group in school history. The prior group of
Justin Robinson,
Josh James,
Collin Stewart and
Chris Brady won 84 games in their four seasons.
KING RICE ON SENIOR NIGHTS
Since taking over the MU program in 2011-12,
King Rice is now 6-1 on Senior Nights honoring his senior class in West Long Branch. He topped LIU Brooklyn by a whopping 106-78 score in his first season, and after falling to Wagner the next year, has won five consecutive Senior Nights.
LOOKING FOR A WINNING MONTH AND WINNING STREAK
MU is 4-4 in the month of February, and have a chance to complete its first winning month and three-game winning streak of the season with a win to wrap up the regular season at Fairfield.
