WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 result to UC Irvine this morning. Freshman Nicole Gasser continues her early season success, picking up the Hawks' lone win at No. 2 singles by a score of 6-3, 6-3. Gasser has won four out of five singles matches to start her collegiate career. The No. 2 doubles duo of senior Alexandra Graff and junior Caroline Mattise was narrowly defeated, 7-5. The Hawks will look to bounce back this weekend when they face Providence and Rhode Island.
