In the win over Marist, Monmouth scored over 90 points in regulation for the first time this season, having previously scored 96 in a four-overtime loss to Penn on 11/25. Four Hawks worked into double figures and eight Hawks scored in the game as MU got to 91 in the 40 minute game.
WINNING STREAK
Monmouth has won consecutive games for the first time this season, topping Siena and Marist in the last two games. MU topped those opponents by an average of 12 points to move to 3-5 in league play.
HAMMOND EXPLODES AT NASSAU
Freshman
Deion Hammond netted a career-high 24 points against Marist, hitting five threes and nine shots overall in Monmouth's win. The guard hit some critical shots down the stretch, including a three with no time remaining on the shot clock.
TILGHMAN LEADS THE WAY
Austin Tilghman scored a career-high 24 points against Marist, leading a Monmouth charge by topping the Hawks in every major category including points, rebounds (12), assists (6), and steals (3). It was his third double-double of the season, which includes a triple-double against Yale, and he is currently the only MAAC player averaging 10+ points, five rebounds and five assists per game.
