BRADY GOODLING NAMED MAAC MEN'S GOLFER OF THE MONTH

EDISON, N.J. – Monmouth's Brady Goodling (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men's Golfer of the Month, league officials announced Wednesday afternoon. Goodling began his junior campaign strong, posting a 74.0 stroke average over six rounds of action, including taking home two individual titles in the process.

Goodling opened the season with a 224 at the 54-hole Rutgers Invitational and followed up that event with a two-over-par 72 at the Iona Quad Match to claim the first medalist honors of his career. This past weekend, Goodling lead the Hawks to their first ECAC Championship since the 2005 season as he earned the individual crown for the second-straight event. In the opening 18-holes at Twisted Dune Golf Club, the Pennsylvania native fired a one-under-par 71, the only subpar round of the tournament, before shooting a 77 in the second round for a total of 148, six strokes ahead of Rider's James Buttermark. Goodling, who now has seven career top-five finishes, became the first Hawk to win the ECAC Championship since Anthony Campanile accomplished the feat eight years ago.

Goodling and the Hawks return to action this upcoming weekend, October 6-7, as they compete in the Binghamton Invitational at the Links of Hiawatha in Apalachin, New York.
