Biography

2020 (Senior): Started all 14 games in the outfield, one of three Hawks to start all 14… Totaled 11 hits, two doubles, eight runs scored and six RBI’s… Went 3-for-3 in the stolen base department… Had two hits and an RBI in opening day win over NJIT (2/14)… Drew three walks in win over Bucknell (2/15)… Added two hits and two stolen bases vs. Bucknell (2/15)… Drove in two and scored twice in victory over Presbyterian (2/22)… Scored two runs in series clinching win over George Washington (3/8).

2019 (Junior): One of two Hawks to start every game, doing so in the outfield… Led Monmouth and the MAAC with 22 stolen bases… Also led the Blue and White with 40 walks… Finished second on MU in runs scored with 41… Exploded for four hit day, including a double at FAU (3/2)… Posted back-to-back three hit games at George Mason, scoring five times and knocking a triple and a home run (3/16-17)… Scored three times vs. Wagner (3/24)… Posted a monster game at Saint Peter’s, going 4-for-6 with two doubles, four runs scored and a whopping seven runs driven in (3/30)… Added another four hits in the next game, scoring three more times (3/30)… Had two hits and two runs scored in MAAC Tournament win over Marist (5/23).

2018 (Sophomore): Started 29 games and played in 44 in the outfield… Hit .287 with 17 RBI’s… Opened season with a hit and a run scored at DBU (2/18)… Went 3-for-4 with three RBI’s, a double and a triple vs. Columbia (4/11)… Had another three-hit day with two runs driven in against Seton Hall (4/18)… Hit first career home run at Niagara in a two-hit game (4/21)… Drove in three runs in win over Saint Peter’s (5/5)… Had two hits and two runs scored in MAAC Tournament win over Siena (5/23).

2017 (Freshman): Collected five hits and drove in two as a true freshman… Fielded a perfect outfield with 26 put outs… Stole three bases… Appeared in 19 games, starting eight… First career hit came against William and Mary, a double (3/3)… Had two hits and an RBI at Siena (4/8).

HIGH SCHOOL: Outfielder from Spring Brook Township, PA and played scholastically at North Pocono High School... Hit .403 in his first two years with the Trojans, totaling 40 hits... Stole 31 bases, 22 as a junior, to set school records in both... Two-time First Team All-League choice, and earned a spot on the First Team All-Region... Helped North Pocono to a 2015 league title, and was individually selected for the WWBA World Championships All-Tournament Team.

PERSONAL: Son of Joe and Kelly Walsh... Major is business finance.
