WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University women's swimming team has been recognized by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-American Team.

The award is in recognition of teams that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2018 Spring Semester. The team has earned the award in five out of the past six semesters.

"Excellence in academics is a goal the women's team sets every semester," head coach Matt Nunnally said. "Being named to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team is proof that the team is working hard in the classroom and reaching its goals. I am excited to see them recognized for their efforts."

The 22 members of the women's team accumulated a 2018 Spring Semester grade point average of 3.07 and were one of eight Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference teams to be recognized. At the Division I level, the Hawks were one of 176 women's swimming teams to receive the honor.
