MONMOUTH MOURNS THE LOSS OF TYLER TERRY

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ- The Monmouth University Department of Athletics and Football program is mourning the loss of incoming freshman linebacker Tyler Terry, who passed away on Sunday at Children's National Hospital.

"The thoughts and prayers of the Monmouth Football Family go out to the Terry Family during this very difficult time," said Monmouth Head Coach Kevin Callahan. "Words cannot express the sorrow that we feel for their loss. We are proud to say that Tyler will always be a Monmouth Hawk."

Terry passed away Sunday, February 11, after being hospitalized for nearly two weeks with a heart condition.

Terry, a linebacker and tight end, helped Quince Orchard High School to a 13-2 record in 2017 and a second straight state final appearance. The Gaithersburg, MD native signed his National Letter of Intent in December where he figured to bolster the Hawks' linebacking corps. He was planning on majoring in accounting at Monmouth.

An online fund has been set up to help the Terry Family pay for medical and funeral expenses. Those wishing to contribute can do so here
