WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Coming off three straight MAAC championship round appearances, the Monmouth University softball team has announced its 2017 fall schedule. The Hawks will play four doubleheaders to gear up for the spring campaign.

"I have been very pleased with our fall so far," said Monmouth head coach Shannon Salsburg. "The team has come back eager to work and extremely focused, and I am excited to watch us compete for the next couple weekends."

The Hawks return First Team All-MAAC selection and Second Team All-ECAC pitcher Amanda Riley, as well as All-MAAC Second Team outfielder Chloe Howerth and MAAC All-Rookie selection Kayla Rosado. Catcher Alex Holzman and infielder Morgan Balderas are also back after starting all 56 games a season ago. Outfielders Katie Baron and Jasmine Higa return after combining for 87 starts in last year's championship run. Infielder Deangie Jimenez, outfielder Amber Wozniak, pitcher Megan Stauffer, outfielder Tyranny Royster, and utility Amanda Hopeck round out the returners, all of whom saw action last season as freshmen. In addition, the Hawks add nine new student-athletes to the roster, including eight freshman.
